WATERLOO, Iowa — Two people suffered injuries when the SUV they were riding in crashed Saturday afternoon, according to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s office.

It happened just after 3:30 p.m. in the 8500 block of East Cedar Wapsi Road.

Investigators said 14-year-old Bree Zubrod of Waterloo was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer when the front passenger tire dropped off the road. The vehicle veered across the roadway and entered the north ditch rolling at least twice.

Dunkerton Ambulance took her to Allen Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Family took a 43-year-old passenger to Allen Hospital, also with non-life threatening injuries.
