Assistant Sports Director Josh Christensen joined the KCRG-TV9 Sports Team in December 2012. Before coming to Cedar Rapids, Josh worked and interned for Lakeland Public Television (KAWE) in Bemidji, Minnesota. He was an intern for three years shooting highlights for the sports department, then was promoted to part-time news reporter, then to full-time news/sports reporter and then Sports Director.

Josh was born and raised in Minnesota. He received his A.A. Degree at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, then transferred to Bemidji State University where he received two majors: a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Mass Communications with an emphasis in electronic media.  

Josh lives with his beautiful wife Amy and their two dogs, Ali and Archie. He is excited to continue his career in the Midwest and is already enjoying his time in Iowa. If you ever see him covering a game or story, feel free to say hi.
