One of the most-discussed story lines of this year's Insight Bowl between Iowa and Oklahoma is the connection that the two head coaches share. Iowa's Kirk Ferentz began his coaching career at Iowa when Oklahoma's Bob Stoops was still a safety for the Hawkeyes. Last year, Stoops wore an Iowa sweatshirt to the Insight Bowl. At Wednesday's Media Day, he shared a story about helping Ferentz paint his house over two decades ago. The two have remained friends for years, despite both competing for the Iowa coaching position after Hayden Fry's retirement. But Friday none of that matters on Friday, when the two square off in Arizona.
