WEST BRANCH 62; EDDYVILLE-BLAKESBURG 24
West Branch is in the high school football playoffs for the 21st time.
Getting four touchdowns from Cole Cook — two through the air and two on the ground — the Bears rolled past Eddyville-Blakesburg, 62-22, last night in a Class 1A-6 game at home.
Cade Jones rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns and Bo Bower added 105 yards and two TDs as West Branch improved to 3-2, 6-2.
The Bears led 42-0 at the end of the first quarter, 62-0 at halftime.

DECORAH 63, OELWEIN 0
Mikail Suvorov rushed for 90 yards and scored two touchdowns as the top-ranked Vikings rolled in Oelwein.
Josey Jewell added 90 yards and two TDs as Decorah improved to 5-0, 8-0.
Holt Johansen added to the rout with three touchdowns and 68 rushing yard.
Decorah totaled 396 yards of offense, 380 on the ground, to Oelwein’s 86.

DYERSVILLE BECKMAN 51, NORTHEAST 6
Mitch Steger rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns and returned a kickoff 72 yards for a score for Beckman.
Ian Ross added 104 yards rushing and one touchdown for the Blazers (5-0 in 2A-4, 7-1 overall).
DEWITT CENTRAL 44, ANAMOSA 6
Mitchell Green ran for one touchdown and passed for another as Central won in Anamosa,
Green rushed 42 yards for an early TD, then added a 58-yard pass for another as DeWitt took a 30-6 halftime lead.
Connyr Lewis led Anamosa, completing 11 of 24 passes for 185 yards, including a 54-yard TD pass to Austin Holub. Josh Schulte caught eight passes for 89 yards.

NORTH LINN 49, EAST BUCHANAN 6
Brendan Schott rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns and added a 50-yard TD pass as North-Linn (4-4) won in Winthrop.
The Lynx led 28-0 in the first quarter. East Buchanan fell to 3-5.
SPRINGVILLE 42, WEST CENTRAL 6
Springville’s Drake Coonrod rushed for 80 yards and scored three touchdowns on 17 carries and also ran a fumble back 75 yards for a score to lead Springville in Maynard.
Quarterback Sam Scriber completed 7 of 10 passes for 103 yards and two touchdown passes to Jake Hulett as the Orioles (7-1, 6-1 8-Player District 4) locked up the No. 2 spot in the district and qualified for the playoffs for the first time in school history.
WEST DELAWARE 27, CRESTWOOD 8
Ryan Dudak rushed for 214 yards and four touchdowns as West Delaware coasted to victory.
Dudak scored on a 28-yard run in the first quarter and added TD runs of 5, 11 and 49 yards as part of his 30 carries.
