Meskwaki Warriors Ready to Roll

Meskwaki Settlement-Everything about Meskwaki football is new.
The high school is new, the equipment is new, many of the players are new to the sport.

Coach Todd Dale has 18 high school players out for the team that will initially play 8 man football. Six of the players played at South Tama in past years as part of a program sharing setup.

Because they are starting in an "off year", the Warriors will play all of their games on the road and shortest trip is two hours away. Next year they will be assigned a district and will play home games.

Senior center Vernon Lasley says the school slogan is, "All things are possible" and that is the belief he is taking into this first season of Meskwaki football.
