CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) — A University of Northern Iowa football player has been indefinitely suspended after being arrested for allegedly punching a man in the face.

UNI football coach Mark Farley announced the suspension after Henry Obi, 22, was arrested on Sunday by Cedar Falls police. The defensive lineman saw limited playing time last year.

Obi allegedly punched man in July at Mojo's Pizza House. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a broken nose, a gash in the face and several broken facial bones.

The assault happened on a night when a large fight at Mojo's and elsewhere on College Hill resulted in eight other arrests.

A working telephone number for Obi could not be found Tuesday.
