NEW HAMPTON — Same teams, same location. Different result.

Emphatically.

Parker Hesse had 21 carries for 160 yards and two touchdowns last night as Waukon defeated New Hampton, 36-0, in a Class 2A quarterfinal football game. Hesse also completed seven of 10 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Waukon’s defense held New Hampton to just four first downs and 122 total yards of offense.

The game was a rematch of a regular season game Oct. 25 when New Hampton upset then-No. 1 Waukon, 19-14.

Waukon plays Albia (12-0) next Saturday in the UNI-Dome.
