Washington Hosts Girls' Track Invitational

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- In the 4x200 relay at the Warrior Invitational at Kingston on Tuesday, the Linn-Mar team of Morgan, Renner, Decker and Perry came in first in a time of 1:47.8. Prairie was second and Xavier third.

In the 100 hurdles, Hailie Montgomery of Prairie made it look easy, winning with a time of 15.73. In the 800 meter run, Stephanie Jenks of Linn-Mar cruised to a win in a time of 2:17. Larkin Chapman of Muscatine was second and Ally Hicks of Linn-Mar third.

In the 200-meter dash, Amari Waller of Kennedy burned up the track, hitting the tape first in 27.1 seconds. Basketball star Madison Dellamuth of Prairie was second.

And in the 400 hurdles, Amari Taylor gave the host school Washington a win, out-sprinting Kelsey Coates of Kennedy for the victory.
