CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Cornell women won easily on Saturday, as TV9's Josh Christensen details in the video above. Below are the rest of the women's basketball scores and tidbits from a busy Saturday.

Mount Mercy 70, IAB 65

Mount Mercy held on to beat IAB after seeing a 14-point halftime lead nearly disappear. The Mustangs outscored IAB 45-31 after 20 minutes, but with 15 seconds left, led by just three.

MaKenzie Zeitler made a free throw soon after to seal the victory. It was one of her three points that went with her 19 rebounds. Amanda Frost recorded a double-double with 25 points and 16 boards.

Simpson 70, Coe 62

Coe couldn’t contain Simpson’s Kate Nielson, who finished with 28 points and seven rebounds. Mary Halvorson led the Kohawks with 12 points, but shot 1 of 9 from the field, She made up for her poor performance from the field by going 10 of 14 from the free throw line. Halvorson also finished with nine rebounds.

Luther 90, Dubuque 64

Dubuque didn’t have an answer for Luther’s three headed monster of Nellie Nelson (28), Taylor Johnson (23) and Megan Koepnick (17). The Spartans boasted two heavy hitting scorers with 26 from Mollie Whiting and 16 from Meggie Schmidt.

But Dubuque’s third leading scorer, Jena Darwin, finished with six.

Luther ran away from the Spartans in the second half, with a 52-33 advantage in the final 20 minutes.
