Iowa’s men’s basketball players are racking up the frequent flyer miles this offseason.

Incoming Iowa sophomore Jarrod Uthoff was selected to play for the East Coast All-Stars as part of the Four Nations Cup in Tallin, Estonia from July 25-27. Uthoff, a 6-foot-9 forward, graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson in 2011.

The All-Stars play an exhibition contest against an Estonian club team July 23. The team plays three games against FIBA national teams from Belarus, Estonia, and the Slovak Republic.

The 12-man roster includes two players each from Syracuse and Lycoming, and one from Iowa, Louisville, North Colorado, Notre Dame, UConn, Providence, West Virginia and Binghamton.

An Iowa player has traveled with the East Coast All-Stars in Estonia three consecutive seasons. Matt Gatens and Bryce Cartwright competed in 2011 and Zach McCabe went there last year.

Iowa’s Aaron White competed for the U.S. national team for the last two weeks at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia. The whole team travels to Europe in mid-August for exhibition games in England and France.
