Running Back Domeyer Leads Wartburg Into Matchup With Bethel

WAVERLY, Iowa—The Wartburg football team (9-2 overall) will travel to face No. 6 Bethel College (11-0 overall) Saturday, Nov. 30, in a noon game at Royal Stadium in Arden Hills, Minn., during the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Knights blew away No. 13 Illinois Wesleyan last week, 41-7, at Tucci Stadium in Bloomington, Ill., during the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs, qualifying them for the Sweet Sixteen.

This year will be the Knights second time ever qualifying to the quarterfinals, the first being in 2008. Wartburg is 5-9 all-time in the NCAA postseason and this year is the Knights' 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, the last being in 2010. This marks the seventh appearance in the postseason under head coach Rick Willis.

Sophomore Brandon Domeyer (Manchester) leads the Knights on the ground with 834 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Sophomore Logan Schrader (Kildeer, Ill.) leads the team in passing with a total of 999 yards and 10 touchdowns. Senior Taylor Jacobsmeir (Wapello) closely follows with 978 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Junior Donald Miller (Maywood, Ill.) leads in receiving with 497 yards and seven touchdowns.
