Prep Softball: West Delaware Advances to States in Rout of Charles City

WAVERLY - West Delaware advanced to state for the 12th time with a 12-0, 6-inning win over Charles City in a Class 4A regional final last night at Waverly.

Autumn Reeder had three hits and two RBIs to lead the Hawks (30-10). Paige Soppe had a two-run double in the fifth inning and Mikaela Boss picked up three RBIs on a bases-clearing double in six-run sixth.

Hannah Cole twirled a two-hit shutout in the circle, walking one and striking out three to improve to 27-7.
