It's pretty well known that the Monticello boys' cross country team is good. Although, that might be an understatement.

The Panthers won the Anamosa Invitational on Saturday. Former KCRG TV-9 Athlete of the Week Michael Melchert set a new meet record with a time of 16:24.

On the girls' side, Davenport Assumption won the meet.
