CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Former Cedar Rapids Kennedy girls basketball and track coach Harold Wilkinson died Thursday morning at St. Lukes hospital in Cedar Rapids. He was 74 years old and being treated for a lung disease.
Wilkinson coached girls basketball at Kennedy from 1972-82, and is best remembered for coaching girls track and cross country. After he retired they renamed their home meet, the Wilkinson Relays. Before going to Kennedy, Wilkinson coached the Belle Plaine girls track team to state titles from 1964-1966. More Good Stuff |
