Iowa Wrestling Fourth in Latest Coaches Poll

Iowa has eight ranked wrestlers, including top-ranked Tony Ramos (133), Derek St. John (157) and 184-pounder Ethen Lofthouse, in the latest edition of the Amateur Wrestling News individual rankings released Tuesday. The Hawkeyes were ranked fourth in the latest USAToday/NWCA/AWN NCAA Division I Coaches poll.

Heavyweight Bobby Telford is fourth, while red-shirt freshman Cory Clark is fifth at 125. Returning 174-pound All-American Mike Evans is sixth. Nathan Burak is eighth at 197 and Nick Moore (165) is ninth.

Iowa State and UNI are 16th and 17th, respectively, in the coaches poll.

The Cyclones are led by Michael Moreno (165) and Kyven Gadson (197). Both are ranked third. The Cyclones' Tanner Weatherman is 10th at 174.

Six UNI Panthers are ranked, including Ryan Loder, who is third at 184. Joe Colon and Joey Lazor are ranked 10th at 133 and 141, respectively. Red-shirt freshman Dylan Peters is 12th at 125. Cooper Moore is 15th at 165 and 174-pounder Cody Caldwell is 18th.
