Iowa Women's Taylor Battled Through Injuries To Reach Senior Night

By KCRG Sports

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Iowa's lone senior this season is Theairra Taylor, who battled her way back from three ACL surgeries in her five years in Iowa City. Taylor has started every game this season and is averaging just over 11 points.

Thursday's game is Senior Night for Taylor and the Hawkeyes, and it's a big game for conference tournament seeding as well. Iowa can still finish fourth in the Big Ten, which would give them a first-round bye in the Big Ten tournament.

"I'm excited about this week and where we're sitting," head coach Lisa Bluder said. "But it's also kind of an emotional tug to have to say goodbye to Theairra."
