IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Iowa shooting guard Melissa Dixon is one of the best shooters in the country. After a slow start, Dixon has been on fire. She has hit 28 of 54 three-pointers in the last five games.

Dixon has made 20 three-pointers over the last three games -- a school record. She has tied the school record twice this season with seven triples in a game.

"Once I hit my first couple, it just feels good," she said. "As a shooter, you have to have that confidence that every shot is going to go in."

Meanwhile, Zach McCabe is shooting well for the Iowa men's team. HE is hitting almost 50 percent of his threes. The senior from Sioux City is averaging almost 10 points per game off the bench.

"I'm playing great basketball right now, and I want to continue doing that as the season goes on," he said.
