Kirk Ferentz has seen his fair share of Senior Days over the past three decades, but it never seems to get any easier.

"It's hard on all the coaches," he said. "That's one thing about coaching in college or high school -- guys graduate. You should get used to it, but you don't. It's a little bittersweet that way."

For the players, it's a mixed bag of emotions. Maybe even more for the guys from Eastern Iowa.

"With the number of Hawkeye fans that come from where you come from, it just makes it a little more special, being able to grow up around this program," safety Tanner Miller said. "It'll probably be a little more emotional for me than it would for most guys who aren't from Iowa."

But when it comes down to it, the team knows what's most important on Saturday.

"I don't think it'll be a big issue for me," said linebacker James Morris. "Once the ball is snapped, it's all football from that point."
