The 6-foot-3 center averaged 21.5 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game in leading the Little Hawks to a 24-1 record and the Class 5A state semifinals.

She concluded her prep career with 1,325 points and has signed with the University of Florida.

A member of the National Honor Society with a grade point average of 3.71, Lorenzen has volunteered locally on behalf of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, as a peer tutor and as a youth basketball coach.

Lorenzen is City High's second Iowa Gatorade girls basketball winner; Kelly Krei won the award in 2008.
