CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Landon Cassill says he is leaving BK Racing to pursue other opportunities in NASCAR.
Cassill, of Cedar Rapids, joined BK Racing last season when team owner Ron Devine purchased the assets of defunct Red Bull Racing. Cassill ran all 36 races, with an average finish of 27th.
He said Wednesday the decision to leave a month before the season-opening Daytona 500 is difficult. But Cassill indicated terms of his 2012 contract have not been fulfilled and he's been unable to come to an agreement with Devine on a 2013 deal.
