Big Game For Christofferson Leads Cyclone Women to Win
AMES, Iowa – The No. 23/20 Iowa State women's basketball team defeated North Dakota 84-55 at Hilton Coliseum Sunday evening. The Cyclones were powered on the back of a career-high 32 points for Hallie Christofferson. The win improved the Cyclones to 33-8 all-time in season-openers and Iowa State is now 19-0 under the direction of Head Coach Bill Fennelly.
Turning Point of the Game
With 13:47 on the clock North Dakota's Madi Buck sunk a three-pointer to give UND a one-point lead. Kidd Blaskowsky went on a 6-0 run of her own knocking down back-to-back three's to give Iowa State the lead. The Cyclones would hold onto the lead for the remainder of the game.
Game Ball Goes To...
Hallie Christofferson. Christofferson's 32 points are tied for the 10th-most in Iowa State history and is the sixth-most in Hilton Coliseum. She went 11-of-18 from the field and 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. Christofferson recorded her 12th-career double-double with 32 points and 11 rebounds.
