Beckman's Steger Wins "Athlete of the Week"

DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Nate Steger, of the state champion Dyersville Beckman baseball team, is this week's winner of the KCRG-TV9 "Athlete of the Week" award.

Steger received 41 percent of the total vote - which you can cast weekly on KCRG.com/sports - and beat Alex Hayden (Cedar Rapids Kennedy, 37 percent) and Landon Ashbacher (Decorah, 20 percent) for this week's honor.

TV9's Scott Saville will recognize Steger, and last week's winner, Maliah Fligg from Clear Creek Amana softball, later on this month.
