The Kernels were trying to win their ninth straight tonight in Davenport. The Kernels lit the board first in the fourth inning when Bo Altobelli scored Adam Brett Walker on a base hit.

But the River Bandits answered with four runs in the fifth inning and snapped the Kernels' eight-game winning streak with a 7-1 win.

The Kernels fell to 40-19 in the second half of the season.
