Cedar Rapids-The Kernels bats were red hot Tuesday night and it added up to a 12-3 win over the visiting Burlington Bees.

The 12 runs tied a season high for the K-Men. So did 4 home runs in one game.

Rolando Gomez, Brandon Decker, Jeremy Cruz, and Marcus Nidiffer all went yard for the winners.

Prior to the game, the parents of Nick Adenhart were on hand to present the first ever Adenhart scholarship to Emily Saville.
Saville recently graduated from Linn-Mar and will attend Central College in Pella. The one thousand dollar grant is in memory of Nick Adenhart, a former Kernel and Los Angeles Angel who was killed by a drunk driver.
