CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Cedar Rapids Kernels announced Friday that they have activated relief pitcher Tyler Jones from the disabled list and that reliever Josh Burris has been sent back to Minnesota Twins extended spring training in Fort Myers, Fla.

Jones had to be removed from a May 6 game after suffering a right flexor mass strain. He is 2-1 with four saves and a 3.21 earned run average in 14 innings this season.

Burris threw 10 innings for Cedar Rapids, with no record and a 10.80 ERA.

The Kernels played Friday night at Beloit, before returning home to host Burlington on Saturday night.
