CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Reggie Jefferson, who played 9 years in the majors, says he still keeps in contact with the guys he met in the minors.
Jefferson says they were all young and all had dreams of making it to the big leagues.
Jefferson played briefly with the Cedar Rapids Reds in 1987 and then was a key person in their drive to the 1988 Midwest League championship. He led the team in batting (.281), hits (146), and RBI (90).
Jefferson was recently inducted into the Cedar Rapids Baseball Club Hall of Fame.
