By John Campbell, TV9 Sports

Cedar Rapids-The man who is ripping up the World Series for the Texas Rangers began his pro career in Cedar Rapids.

Catcher Mike Napoli was a 17th round draft pick of the Angels out high school and played with the Kernels in 2001 and 2002.

Four years later he was with the big club. The Angels traded Napoli in the off season and he is making the most of his every day playing status with the Rangers.

In the World Series Napoli has a game winning home run and a game winning two run double.
