Iowa City-Iowa quarterback James Vandenberg has hunted deer and turkeys in Iowa but earlier this summer he had a chance to hunt bear in northern Canada and he got what he went for.

Using a bow and arrow, Vandenberg bagged a black bear.

He says they ate some of the bear meat and gave the rest to a nearby tribal food bank. Vandenberg says he plans to have a rug made out of the bears pelt.
