IOWA CITY, Iowa - Melsahn Basabe is getting it done on both ends of the floor.

He started the season coming off the bench, but he’s been so consistent lately, head coach Fran McCaffery inserted Basabe into the starting lineup on January 31 against Penn State and he’s been there ever since.

Basabe, a junior, has averaged just under 10 points a game in the last 8 games.

In his first two years, he did start 52 games, but he’s made huge strides going into this year.
