Allamakee County-Never say Tom Denney of Elgin and Roger Reed of Strawberry Point don't enjoy a challenge. Both are avid fly fishermen
and recently they visited a river in northeast Iowa that is not stocked with trout by the DNR. No problem! Tom and Roger were still able to coax a number of brownies to take their flies. The fish were biting in still water and fast water. Tom says there are some big ones in this stream, but they are few a far apart. Never mind, the challenge was there for guys who love the sport of fly fishing.
