Coralville Reservoir-Iowa quarterback James Vandenberg and Travis Mueller of Swisher hit the Coralville Reservoir after a day of rain , and maybe that was the problem.

Fishing was slow and when Vandenberg and Mueller can't put them in the boat you know it is a tough day.

Vandenberg says most of his hot spots are near his hometown of Keokuk. Last fall he caught a 58 pound flathead. James also nailed an 8 pound, 2 ounce largemouth.

He also loves to hunt.

The only problem, football and school don't allow for as much time in the Great Outdoors as James would like.
