AMES, Iowa -- Family, friends and fans gathered in front of the "Johnny's" gathering area on the East concourse at Hilton Coliseum to remember legendary Iowa State coach Johnny Orr on Thursday.

Orr retired as the winningest men's basketball coach in school history after spending 14 years with the Cyclones.

The Polk county medical examiner said Orr died of complications from a head injury suffered during a fall. He was 86 years old.
