Ames-The first time Josh Lenz walked into the Iowa State, post game interview room, many of the reporters did not realize he was a player.
They do now. Lenz has proven himself as a kick returner and that has led to time at wide out. Coach Paul Rhoads calls Lenz a "smart runner."
Lenz, who had an outstanding career at Dubuque Hempstead, says he was surprised to break into a playing role as a true freshman. He says it is very gratifying on a personal level, but not very satisfying due to losing recent games.
Lenz and the Cyclones host Colorado this Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium.
