Cedar Rapids-Derek Giesking normally starts at wide receiver for Cedar Rapids Washington, but he is being honored for what he did as a backup quarterback.

In a first round playoff game, Giesking was forced to take snaps when starting QB Wyatt Suess went down early with a knee injury.

Giesking responded with flying colors:487 yards passing and 5 touchdowns as the Warriors rallied to beat the Kennedy Cougars in the last minutes of the game.
