CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Cedar Rapids Washington swimmers recently won their 50th straight district championship, and Jared Thorson was a huge part of that success.

Thorson is this week's winner of the KCRG-TV9 "Athlete of the Week" award, sponsored by Cedar Rapids Toyota Scion.

In the video above, TV9's Scott Saville talks to Thorson about his season and the two face off in a friendly competition.
