MONTICELLO, Iowa - Monticello sophomore Michael Melchert ran the second fastest 5k time in school history Saturday. Melchert finished fifth in class 2A at the state cross country meet in Fort Dodge with a time of 16:05. Michael helped lead his team to their second state title in school history.
