Alburnett, Iowa-Senior 140 pounder Alex German has played a major role in turning the Alburnett wrestling program around. German became Alburnett's first four time conference champ and his team won the Tri-Rivers title for the first time in 41 years. Alex is 33-4 on the year and has over 100 career wins. Alburnett finished third at state last year in class 1a.
