Before Tuesday's game, the Xavier girls' soccer team had only played two games so far this season with wins over Dubuque Hempstead and Iowa City High.

The Saints got on the board right away in the 11th minute with a goal from Kayla Armstrong. The score remained 1-0 all the way until the 68th minute when Sammi Shepard scored for Xavier.

The Saints defeated C.R. Jefferson 2-0.
