By Ellen Kurt

Storms rolled in Wednesday night and may have been a welcomed sign to many Iowans, but to some Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa participants it put a damper on their ride.

The storms blew through the Marshalltown campsite knocking down tents and causing campers to have to take cover. The heavy rain and winds even caused some bikers to end their ride on Wednesday night.
