DAYTONA - Before the final 10 laps, the race at Daytona went smoothly overall, but then the crashes started coming.

There was a serious crash involving several drivers including Denny Hamlin, Jeff Gordon and Matt Kenseth on lap 150. The red flag came out, so the drivers had to come to a complete stop.

On the final lap, there were two separate crashes, but despite all of that Jimmie Johnson took the checkered flag. Johnson becomes the first driver in 31 years to sweep Daytona.

Cedar Rapids native Landon Cassill finished 23rd.
