BROOKLYN, IA - B-G-M running back Michael Long started the football season as the Bears fullback. But after a week 3, season ending injury to starter Cameron Farmer, Long has stepped in and picked up right where Farmer left off.

In 5 games starting Long has rushed for 1,067 yards and 13 TD's. His most impressive performance came last week at North Mahaska. He carried the ball 35 times for 303 yards and 3 TD's.

Long gives all the credit to his offensive line.

The Bears are 7-1 on the year and ranked 10th in Class A. They have already secured a playoff spot.
