Des Moines-Linn-Mar was the lone metro team to survive 4A quarterfinal games at the boys state tournament Wednesday. The Lions clipped Clinton 67-60. Matt Bohannon had a big game with 26 points. Josh Montague chipped in with 10. Point guard Marcus Paige, who has been battle mono played in spurts.

The Lions play Southeast Polk on Friday.

Also Wednesday, Ames sidelined CR Washington and CR Jefferson fell to Sioux City East.
