Cedar Rapids-Top ranked Linn-Mar is headed back to the Girls State Basketball tournament. The Lions defeated Bettendorf 58-40 Tuesday night in Tipton and it was a night that the college coaches came out to watch Kiah Stokes. Among those on hand were Pat Summit of Tennessee, Shari Coale of Oklahoma and Sharon Versyp of Purdue.

In a class 3A regional final, Marion defeated Anamosa 52-40 to earn their ticket to the big show. Morgan Paige led the way with 17 points.

In boys play, a good 2A district final had Solon facing North Cedar at Cedar Rapids Jefferson. The Spartans won 70-56.
