Buckeye Free Throws Save the Day

Columbus-The Iowa women hit six more field goals than the Ohio State Buckeyes but Ohio State used a 28 to 9 advantage at the free throw line to beat Iowa 86-82 Thursday night at Value City Arena.

Iowa used great three point shooting (11-21) to stay with the Buckeyes, but some late turnovers combined with Buckeye free throws ruined the Hawks' hopes for an upset.

Jaime Printy was 4 of 4 from behind the arc and led the Hawks with 22 points. Kachine Alexander registered a double double (20/10), and Kamille Wahlin chipped in the 18 points.
