Wellman-Tanner Miller thought he was going to UNI. But Kirk Ferentz reached him by phone Monday night as Miller was riding with teammates on the way home from a basketball game. When Miller told his teammates that he was going to be a Hawkeye, the bus erupted.
Miller said it was fun. He said it was crazy. The Hawks plan to use him as a defensive back.
