Columbus-Iowa's bid for a Big Ten football championship rests on the shoulders of freshman quarterback James Vandenberg. "Vandy" got the start because Ricky Stanzi is out with a high ankle sprain.

Vandenberg is a freshman and this will be his first college start but he teammates have faith in the young man for Keokuk.
