CEDAR FALLS - According to the Waterloo Courier's Jim Sullivan three UNI football players will be suspended for the Panthers season opener against the Hawkeyes down in Iowa City.
Backup QB Zach Davis, offensive lineman Evan Tecklenburg, and Misha Danilov. Davis, a native of Washington, Iowa, was recently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Tecklenburg and Danilov were charged with drug paraphanalia possession back in July.
Davis is the immediate backup to starting QB Pat Grace. He started 3 games last year for UNI throwing for over 500 yards and 3 touchdowns.
