CEDAR RAPIDS - The Washington Warriors fell 1 game short of playing for a state football title last year, this year they hope to make another run.
But the Warriors have some holes to fill, gone are Keenan Davis and Wyatt Seuss to Iowa. But they do return one of the top Running Backs in the state in Andre Dawson, also known as 'The Hawk.'
Dawson has received scholarship offers from the likes of Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Kansas.
'The Hawk' stands 6'2" tall and weighs in at 206 pounds. He says this year he's going to be more of a downhill runner and not worry about cutting as much.
"They might think I'm the Bus this year," said Andre smiling.
Wash opens the season Friday Aug. 28th at home against Cedar Falls, the team they lost to in the state semifinals a year ago.
