IOWA CITY - Shonn Greene left some big shoes to fill in Iowa City and Jewel Hampton hopes he can do just that.

As a Hawkeye freshman, Hampton carried the ball 91 times for 463 yards and 7 touchdowns.

He dodged a bullet earlier this summer when he injured a knee in off season workouts. On July 27th, head coach Kirk Ferentz said the injury did not require surgery and he proclaimed Hampton "full speed."

Offensive coordinator Ken O'Keefe says Hampton shares a "football IQ" with Greene but must learn Shonn's patience in the running game.
