Jefferson Softball Hoping for Another Trip to State

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Jefferson softball team is stacked with tradition. 3 state titles, 18 trips to the state tournament.
The J-Hawks have represented Eastern Iowa 13 of the last 15 years in Fort Dodge.
This year they're off to a 16-3 start and ranked 3rd in Class 4A.
It always helps when your Coach is a National Coach of the Year. 71 year old Larry Niemeyer has been coaching for almost 50 years, 31 of them at Jeff. He's the all-time winningest softball coach in the country.
